The zero error philosophy in our quality policy shows just how seriously we take the topic. Even the acceptance inspection of raw materials takes place under strict criteria using computer-aided, dynamic statistical testing plans. In this way, preventative, active quality measures take top priority right from the beginning. The quality history of previous deliveries is included in this. Failure modes and effects analyses (FMEAs), simulation tests, and machine and capability investigations take into account every detail. And, in production, statistical quality tests ensure the necessary product safety. This is also accompanied by a very high level of motivation, as all members of staff at Steel undertake the necessary process controls and documentation under their own responsibility, assisted by the latest testing and measuring equipment. Important stimulus is also generated with the help of a continuous improvement process (CIP). Throughout all this, Steel never forgets about environment protection. We have been certified to DIN EN ISO 14001:2005 since 2007, as quality is an ongoing concern for us in every regard.
